Northeast Ohio College Tech Prep Showcase 2000

A Stark County College Tech Prep team from Perry High School in Massillon won "Best of Show" for their Allied Health Technologies project, and a GlenOak Career Center team took the runner-up spot in a separate category at the Northeast Regional College Tech Prep Showcase competition held last week at the Kent State University Student Center.

Perry High School seniors Brandy Blanton, Amanda Boles, Sarah Duell, Dee Evans and Melissa Venosdle from the Medical College Tech Prep class won "Best of Show" with their project, "ER Trauma". The team received more points than any other team competing in the annual event, and is one of seven that will advance to the State Showcase to be held in Columbus in May. The winning display and presentation were supervised by instructors Janet Zak and Dave Brothers. Mike Duell, a Canton City firefighter and paramedic also assisted the students in perfecting their skills.
